KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

  • April 8th. Margaret Slade (University of Warwick):
    "Exclusive Contracts and Vertical Restraints."

  • April 9th. David Sappington (University of Florida):

REGISTRATION

All participants, including paper presenters, discussants and session chairs, must officially register for the conference. The registration fee of $175 entitles you to attend the sessions, the keynote speeches with lunch, and all day coffee and light snacks. Access to the sessions and the keynote speeches (accompanied by lunch) will be restricted to the registered guests only. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER BY THE DEADLINE OF MARCH 4th, ELSE YOU WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE PROGRAM.

The registration form below includes details on hotel booking. It is important that you book early as the number of rooms allocated to the conference participants are limited. (If you stay 3 nights – 7th, 8th and 9th – the room rate will average approximately $112 per night plus tax.) Since the hotel and conference center are integrated, it is to your advantage to stay at the conference hotel to have on-site access to the session rooms and the keynote speeches in the luncheon ballroom. While there are other hotels within a 20-25 minute walk, those will be more expensive and there is no public transportation. Adjacent to the hotel and conference center, there is a large Barnes and Noble bookstore, a Starbucks and some shops and restaurants: click here for the list.

IMPORTANT: Whether you are participating in the conference or merely attending sessions, you will have to officially register by the deadline. Individuals without the official conference registration name tag will NOT be allowed into the sessions or the luncheons with keynote speakers. Finally, due to seating constraints, we have to cap the number of people who can attend the luncheons with speaker at 300.

TOUR OF GEORGIA TECH

Georgia Tech, best known for its renowned engineering and science departments, is located close to Atlanta's midtown area and has an enrollment of about 15,000 students. Unlike most city schools, Georgia Tech has an expansive and attractive campus. We invite you to take a tour of the campus aboard the yellow Tech Trolley which you can catch from the side of the conference hotel (ask at the concierge desk for the “Trolley” going into the campus). This will take you to the other end of the campus and bring you back to the hotel. It runs frequently and the trip is free. This offers a nice exposure to the campus, some of the new and architecturally appealing buildings, tree-lined walkways and the newly constructed Campus Recreation Center (if you click on the central picture, you can see the various parts of the facility). Depending on the weather, taking a walk through the campus is enjoyable.
